Sparkling

Our sparkling wine corks are composed of two discs using solid natural cork and a body made from crafted micro-agglomerate cork. They are specifically designed to withstand high pressure and with predictable oxygen transfer rates to ensure, whether vintage or non-vintage, the flavour and aromas are preserved.

Natural

Marrying the best carbon positive material and technology ensures our natural corks won’t interfere with or taint your product. Seven stages of quality and TCA reduction is compulsory regardless of grade of cork you desire. For the ultimate still wine, 100% TCA free corks guarantee perfection and security in the closure. A true saviour of flavour.

technical

Incorporating both our micro-agglomerated and one-plus-one corks, technical corks are composed of sterilised agglomerated cork granules topped and tailed with or without high quality natural cork disks. These combined corks offer many of the attributes of our natural corks with additional process to reduce TCA compounds, ensuring consistent performance on a more cost-effective scale.

Synthetic corks offer excellent aroma and flavour neutrality, protecting the structure of the wine. If you’re looking for something more vibrant, then synthetic corks matched to your brand palette colours will give your stopper a unique identity.

NATURAL CORK, NATURAL QUALITY

RAW MATERIALS

To ensure the highest quality cork, we collaborate with the best cork growers. The hand-harvested cork planks are filtered for superiority, cut into strips, hand-punched to maximise material use and then modified in design to ensure consistency. This process enables us to maintain complete control. Any excess material is broken down and used for our agglomerate corks which means we operate a zero waste production.

SANITISING

A Croxsons cork is always fully sanitised. All corks, no matter the grade, go through a seven-step process, including being boiled under high pressure in a closed chamber system. These processes remove cork taint, off-aromas and TCA. Thanks to this rigorous process, our customers can guarantee that Croxsons corks are neutral and benefit from improved appearance and elasticity.

Inspection

Our seven-step process includes numerous stages of inspection to ensure
the right grading, consistency and provide an aesthetically pleasing finish. Depending on the grade of cork additional processes will include sensory analysis by qualified technicians as well as inspection through gas chromatography and mass spectrometry.
