Leading glass packaging company Croxsons has supplied Bristol based distiller, 6 O’Clock Gin, with a stunning black bottle for their first limited edition gin product – the Brunel Edition.
Since Bramley & Gage’s partnership with Croxsons for the re-launch of their 6 O’Clock gin, the Brunel Edition is the first limited edition gin for 6 O’Clock Gin and is also their first new London Dry Gin. The Brunel Edition is in recognition of the ingenious industrial revolutionary, Isambard Kingdom Brunel.
Croxsons supplied the same bottle shape as used for 6 O’Clock Gin but in a black version to create a distinctive, clean and elegant look, providing a perfect backdrop for the intricate copper label designed by Green Chameleon of Bristol.
Michael Kain, head distiller and director of Bramley & Gage/6 O’Clock Gin said: “We’re very proud to be based near Bristol and of the rich heritage of the area. We wanted to make an ultra-premium gin that reflected some of the city’s fine history, as well as referencing our own engineering legacy. Brunel Edition is a bigger, bolder expression of our regular 6 O’Clock Gin, with six extra botanicals.
“Its exotic mix of spices celebrates Isambard Kingdom Brunel’s extraordinary contributions to engineering and world travel. We’re very proud to have created such a delicious product and to be able to present it in such a fantastic looking bottle. Croxsons has delivered a smooth service and we are delighted with the end result.”
Croxsons’ Tim Croxson said; “We have been supplying 6 O’Clock Gin with their distinctive blue bottles since they repackaged and rebranded two years ago, however the black Brunel bottle really is quite a unique project. We are seeing lots of customers looking to differentiate and to release super-premium editions. 6 O’Clock Gin’s limited edition bottle has broken away from convention particularly with the addition of the simple yet striking copper label, proving that sometimes less is more. We look forward to being involved in future projects with 6 O’Clock Gin as they continue to develop innovative and unique products.”
Following advanced and pre-orders, the Brunel Edition was officially launched on 19th July and is available at the Bramley & Gage website and specialist gin retailers.
Croxsons will be showcasing this bottle, along with other innovative examples of their product range at Luxury Packaging London, 13 & 14 September, stand J68.
