Where Green Starts with Blue
BLUESEAL® is produced using 100% renewable energy, with gas-fired thermal drying replaced by induction and UV processes in 2020. The result has been an 81% reduction in CO2 per closure (2025 compared to 2011), helping producers lower their overall carbon footprint.
The BLUESEAL® closure is more than a standard twist-off cap. The seal is made from thermoplastic elastomers (TPE) and is PVC-free, recognisable by the blue colouring.
For consumers, the blue ring is a sign that the closure contains no plasticisers that could contaminate the contents. BLUESEAL® also has a BPA-NI (Bisphenol A – Not Intentionally Added) inner coating, to avoid the hormone-disrupting risks associated with bisphenol A.
PVC-free and BPA-NI – BLUESEAL® therefore fully fulfils the requirements of the EU, the food industry and retail chains for migration-free packaging.
