Robinsons Brewery

Robinsons is a proud independent family brewer, one of oldest in Britain. Their Trooper beer – a deep golden ale with a subtle hint of lemon – takes its name from the Iron Maiden song, and was co-developed by band vocalist and real ale enthusiast Bruce Dickinson.

Our partnership with Robinsons is a long-term one. Being able to provide for their increasingly complex projects, complemented by the routine and responsibility of supplying glass for their multiple brands and clients.

A recent case in point was when we supplied the 3-colour printed crowns and glass bottles for their launch of Trooper – Light Brigade, a product that helped raise money for Help for Heroes.

This latest project for Trooper involved celebrating the albums of Iron Maiden, with each album’s original artwork being replicated on the face of a crown. Rather than producing each design individually, we ensured every bottle would have a random crown. This maintained the collectability from previous projects – perfect for fans of both the beer and the music.

Truth be told, this was an incredibly complex job. The challenge of producing 16 designs with highly-intricate detail, with 23 colours and shades, and all while keeping costs down, made this a challenge that fully tested our team. But once again, we delivered.
