What's Going On // Croxsons continue to support their many breweries
Croxsons have once again extended their support to the Society of Independent Brewers (SIBA) in the UK. Through headline sponsorship of the Business Awards, Croxsons has underlined their support for this thriving and growing sector of the brewing industry.
Castle Rock Brewery took away the overall champion award, sponsored by Croxsons. SIBA chief executive Julian Grocock said, “Castle Rock impressed the judges firstly with their marketing, in particular the phenomenal media interest they generated for their ‘Kiss Me Kate’ Royal Wedding ale earlier this year, but it is their sheer professionalism, and their business drive, that won the day for them. Far from sitting on their laurels after winning Champion Beer of Britain in 2010, Castle Rock have continued to evolve their range of core and seasonal beers, opened a bigger brewery and developed their pub estate. They are worthy winners of this year’s Overall Business Award.
Tim Croxson, Chief Operating Officer of Croxsons, added that "it is good to sow a little back into an industry that has been the mainstay of this family business for 139 years. The quality of entries keeps on getting better and better, and is a sign of how this industry keeps on going from strength to strength"
The award was kindly presented by Keith Bott, Chairman of SIBA.
