Shift in direction for glass packaging supplier
Croxsons has released their first widely available glass container in what promises to be an international change of direction for a family run company that was established in 1872.
The 500ml AMC bottle is so named after the oldest son of the Chairman who passed away in April 1999. The release of the bottle has coincided with what would have been Andrew Mark Croxson’s 32nd birthday (14th May).
The new beer bottle promises to be a huge success with advanced orders of over 5 million over the next calendar year. Stephen Croxson, the regional sales manager for the south of England, comments that “this bottle has been produced to meet customers' tough criteria of high quality and for a cost effective solution.”
Croxsons has in the past sourced glass containers for their customers from existing manufacturer ranges and, although Croxsons has produced bespoke proprietary bottles for customers, this is the first bottle that is available to all, both locally within the UK, and overseas.
James Croxson, chairman, states that “Croxsons will continue to identify glass containers or closures that we can produce to offer what the customer wants. We are not restricted in our supply by glass furnace capacity and big customer’s wants, and as such, are well placed to meet every customer’s requirements, however small, large, unique or standard.”
This bottle is being produced in both amber and white flint, and is available from one pallet quantities upwards. Stephen Croxson further comments that “the bottle has been designed to offer a large label panel and special neck to meet customer’s requirements after extensive market research.”
Croxsons offers probably the widest range of glass containers for the food and beverage markets, and also stocks a wide range of food and beverage closures in their UK warehouses.
