A direct appeal from the Chairman
I am sure that it has not escaped anyone's attention what is going on in Haiti currently.
Croxsons have decided that whilst we can't physically get over there and assist, we can do what we can. We have chosen to partner with a charity called Compassion (www.compassionuk.org), who already work in Haiti, amongst other places.
We don't normally encourage our customers and suppliers to give to charity, but rather leave it to the individual. This occasion, we are touched by what has happened, and by the miracle stories that are coming out of Haiti on a daily basis. So, we are asking that you consider donating to Compassion to allow "on the ground" work to continue and to grow, either as an individual or as a company.

Compassion provide core needs for children in their communities through local partners, ensuring that they get healthcare, education, vocational training, social and emotional care and spiritual care. Why children you might ask? Of the 2.2 billion children in our world today, nearly half of them live in desperate conditions. This generation have the potential to break the cycle of deprivation for future generations. They are the teachers, doctors, engineers and change makers of tomorrow.
Several staff at Croxsons already adopt children through Compassion, so it is a logically way of Croxsons being able to do what we can. Any money given goes straight to the people who can use it, people on the front-line who can make a difference immediately.
-
A £45 gift will provide a relief pack filled with enough food and water to sustain a family for two weeks.
-
A £130 gift helps care for two families' needs.
-
£330 provides relief packs filled with enough good and water to sustain 10 families for two weeks.
-
£950 helps rebuild a home.
-
£1,320 supplies 20 families with the basics for three weeks.
-
£21 a month (less than 70p a day) makes a difference to a child's life, brings them out of poverty into the fullness of life that we perhaps take for granted.
Some basic statistics about Haiti:
We hope that you too decide to help where you can through giving generously to Compassion, or through sponsoring a child, in Haiti or otherwise. We appreciate that in current times money can be tight, but what can you spare, what can you sacrifice for those not so fortunate?
We have set a target of £10,000 as anything less would be too easy. We have set up a giving page at www.justgiving/glasscompassion where you can donate using a credit card, what could be easier? If you are a UK Tax Payer, then don't forget to Gift Aid your donation as, thanks to the government, it is worth evening more.
Thank you for taking the time.
